Why We Built OrgForge

The org chart problem nobody talked about

In 2022, our founding team was consulting for a mid-sized agency struggling with a common but invisible problem: nobody could agree on who reported to whom, what roles existed, or which departments owned which projects.

Their org chart was a PowerPoint slide last updated 18 months ago. Three different people had three different versions. New hires spent their first week just trying to understand who to talk to.

We looked for a tool that was fast to set up, visually beautiful, and actually reflected how modern companies work — with vacancies, matrix reporting, and frequent restructuring. We couldn't find one we loved, so we built it.

OrgForge launched in beta in early 2024 and reached 10,000 org charts created in its first six months. We've since added templates, PDF export, vacancy tracking, and team collaboration — all guided by feedback from real users.

Our roadmap includes real-time collaboration, API integrations with HRIS platforms like BambooHR and Workday, and AI-powered restructuring simulations. We're just getting started.
